Boys Soccer Reminder: There will be a mandatory parent meeting for Boys Soccer immediately following practice at 6:00 pm in the East Middle LIbrary TONIGHT! Please enter through the front doors of the school. Please bring your spirit wear order forms!
The Middle School Softball Tryouts have been rescheduled for Monday & Tuesday, March 3-4, 2025. See details in the flier below. A current KHSAA sports physical is required to tryout.

There are several sports tryouts occurring for East Middle students today. Please see below for important update information:
GIRLS SOCCER: Tryouts at East Middle right after school from 3:45-5:30 pm. Parents should pick players up IN FRONT of East Middle at 5:30 pm. Today is the final day of tryouts for Girls Soccer.
BOYS SOCCER: Tryouts at East Middle right after school from 3:45-6:00 pm. Parents should pick players up IN FRONT of East Middle at 6:00 pm. Today is the final day of tryouts for Boys Soccer.
MIDDLE SCHOOL BASEBALL: Tryouts on Softball Field #1 at Clear Creek Park starting at 4:30 pm. Since this tryout does not occur at East Middle or at a Rocket Lane facility, students should NOT stay after school! Parents will need to transport their students to Clear Creek Park for the tryout! There will be no bus transportation available & it is NOT within walking distance. All baseball players should ride their bus or be picked up by a parent at dismissal and then be taken to Clear Creek Park.
HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL: Tryouts are today and tomorrow from 4:00-6:00 at the SCHS Softball Field behind Milestone/Shelby Academy (JCTC). This is the field behind the new SCHS track. HS softball tryouts are open to middle school girls in grades 7 & 8 only per KHSAA guidelines. If students plan to walk to the tryout, they MUST have a parent note giving them permission. Students may not walk from school at dismissal without a parent note and admin approval.
MIDDLE SCHOOL SOFTBALL Tryouts have been postponed. We will reach out with the new tryout information once it is available.
